Mission Graduates is excited to announce the addition of a new member to the Bryant Extended Day Program. Jenny Weston began as a Summer Program coordinator and is now making the transition to her new role as Assistant Director of the Bryant Extended Day Program. She will continue teaching in the 1st/2nd grade classroom, but will also now be working alongside the Director in her new role.
Jenny is no stranger to Mission Graduates. In 2011, she worked as the 1st/2nd grade coordinator at the Bryant Extended Day Program (then called Tutoring Center). Prior to joining the Mission Graduates family, Jenny studied Elementary Education in Michigan State University, was an elementary school teacher in Chicago Public Schools for 3 years, and finished a Masters Program in English as a Second Language (ESL) Curriculum and Instruction at Concordia University Chicago.
With a focus this year on infusing literacy into everything we do, Jenny is a perfect match with Mission Graduates Extended Day Program. She is ready to share her knowledge and skills in teaching literacy using ESL strategies in an after-school program.
