Alberto Galindo joined the Mission Graduates Board in the fall of 2017 years after serving as an Assistant Program Director with the Extended Day Program. Alberto has worked in both programming and fundraising development with organizations generating economic opportunity in areas ranging from microfinance to immigrant advocacy to college access. Currently, Alberto works with Summer Search, where he leads regional development operations, serves as the project management lead for the organization’s signature fundraising events, and builds strategic relationships with the Bay Area philanthropic community.
Alberto’s commitment to educational equity and social justice stems from witnessing his single mother’s personal triumphs in the face of systemic inequalities. These life experiences shaped his personal values and led him to devote his career to working with underserved communities. A proud Bay Area native, Alberto graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BA in Politics and earned a Master’s Degree in International Development from NYU.
