Through a partnership with UCSF, the GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science) at Marshall Elementary School have been exploring DNA with a favorite snack, strawberries! This STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) elective is for future female scientists only – encouraging 1st-3rd-grade girls to develop a love of STEM early on.
