A presence in the Mission District for 7 years, Maverick’s commitment to the neighborhood is evident as this year will be the restaurant’s 4th consecutive year partnering with Food For Thought. Not only has Maverick been an avid supporter of Mission Graduates, but it has been providing delicious food to Mission residents over the course of its stay on the corner of 17th/Mission.
“Our kitchen focuses on modern regional American food using as much organic produce and sustainable meats and fish as possible,” explains Maverick in regards to its cuisine. Based on its solid Yelp Reviews and the incredible scents wafting out of the kitchen, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the menu choices here. When asked about the go-to dish as of late, the staff just smiled and uttered two words: Fried Chicken.
