Jerlynn Mangaspar was born in Las Vegas, but grew up in San Francisco. Growing up, she always knew that she wanted to be a teacher. Before Mission Graduates, she taught reading and writing for students ranging from kindergarten to high school. Jerlynn graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Education. She joined Mission Graduates as a Fourth Grade teacher and later became the Assistant Director at Alvarado. This year, she’s excited to be taking on the role of Program Director. During her free time, she enjoys running and biking, spending time with her three dogs, and traveling.
